Last July 23, 2008, we officially launched our newest racing game, Crazy Kart via a press conference held at the National Sports Grill, Greenbelt Makati.
The event was a huge success. It was even graced by the presence of Gaby Dela Merced, the country’s top female racer (iRL) as our special guest. Our friends from the media enjoyed an afternoon of racing with Gaby. In fact, in lieu of a traditional raffle, the press had to race for the main prize - a brand new Apple iPod Touch!
I’d like to thank everyone, especially Gaby, for attending and supporting the launch. Special thanks also to my bosses, CEO Jane Walker, Marketing Director Jake Sandiego and Gameboss Ben Colayco, of course.

And yes, what’s a racing event without race girls… here are our models, Chek, runner up for Mossimo Bikini Summit (left) and Ara who was once featured in FHM (right). Rawwrrr!

The VIP table before the storm…
The event would not have been succesful without the help and hard work of the following members of the Level Up team; Event Manager Joie, Marketing Services manager Sansan, BM Jeff, Game Manager Carl, CM Gian, Bebang, Jhay, our bosses; Jane, Jake, Ben and everyone from Level Up who went and supported the event.
I’d also like to thank Guia and Mai from our PR agency who facilitated the event. Last but not least, special thanks goes to Michelle Morelos, our official photographer for the great photos above.
Lastly, on June July 28 (today), we shall be wiping all avatars and karts inside the CBT accounts but NOT the accounts.. sorry, but we have to do this. But don’t worry, the fun continues as we go full blast on the OBT. This means that everyone can now register via MyLevelUp. All players can also now top-up and buy items come July 31, the date of the Open Beta. We’ll be taking the game down from June 28 and we’ll see everyone again on July 31!
Before I leave, check out Hackenslash reporter Izah Morales’ video interview of Jane and me. Thanks, Izah!
