Sony PSP 3000
Available this October 14, the Sony PSP 3000 is THE talk of the blogosphere today. The main come-on is the brighter and more vibrant screen. Sony’s John Koller gives us an in-depth look at Sony’s new PSP-3000 via a video from Gamespot.
The old Sony PSP 2000 will stop production in September. The PSP 3000 will be available for $199 (around PHP10,000) with the Ratchet and Clank Size Matters bundle.

PW Revenge of the Jade Throne
Here’s a trailer video of Revenge of the Jade Throne, a special PVP event for Perfect World Philippines.
In this event, only the last 8 standing players will be declared the winners…. much like an online “Royal Rumble” wrestling match, ayt?
Check out the complete details of the event here.

PSP With Bikini Girls
Marketing couldn’t be any simpler.
Get two cute girls, strap them on bikinis and get them to play a lame game using the PSP. Now, I don’t know if they’re trying to sell the PSP or the game. Doesn’t matter now! I’m curious. Heck, I could not understand a single word and I’m sure you’ll find it amusing as well.
Enjoy your weekend!

Ragnarok 2 Dance Video
It’s now the “ber” months. LIVE 2008 is just around the corner and Gravity is bringing the Ragnarok World Championships 2008 to the Philippines.
What better way to kindle back the Ragnarok spirit with a Ragnarok 2 video, eh? Anyways, credit for this video goes to Signum. I really can’t wait for RO2 as well. Still no official word from Gravity. But once I get news, so will you.
Enjoy!

Chinese Gold Farming
BBC reports on the massive scale of gold farming for WoW. To most Chinese, it’s a full-time job. With a population of over 1.3 billion people, the growth of the gaming population has been incredible. From just around 22.3 million players less than a year ago, this has ballooned to 147 million. A growth of 559%.
Blizzard has began a crackdown on these operations which has been closely monitored by the blogosphere.

Community Q and A Part 1

As promised, here’s the first video answer to my Community Q&A blog contest. To debut things, GM Cydie will answer a question about RF hacks and cheats. Congrats to the winners btw!
The question is from Paul of Bulacan playing RF Online. His character name is PaulCristophe from Altrax and a member of the Brethren guild. And he asks: Is there any way to counter CE and Other 3rd party program hacks on RF Online aside from banning people? Why can’t level up ask permission from the CCR team to tamper with the games parameters?
GM Cydie answers this below…

The Next 5,000 Days for the Web
Kevin Kelly, one of the co-founders of Wired, said that if we went back in time 10 years ago and told someone what the web is capable right now it would be branded as impossible. Guess what? Nothing is impossible. Today, everything and anything is on the web, from satellite photos, phone numbers, friends, products, auctions, videos, knowledge (wikipedia) and communication.
That’s what we have right now. The web is currently 5,000 days old. And it’s one massive machine. So massive that it is analogous to the human brain. Kelly does a talk on TED about what the web can do in the next 5,000 days. The possibilities are jaw-dropping.
