Level Up’s Last Quarter Storm

It’s going to be a big treat for all of you, loyal Level Up gamers as we save the best for last!

The entire Level Up team is cooking up one helluva storm this last quarter. It starts off with LIVE 2008 - the biggest online gaming event on Philippine shores. This year, we took it up another notch by hosting the Ragnarok World Championships, the first ever RWC held outside of Seoul, Korea. The entire world watched and was in awe of the massive event where 20,000 gamers trooped to the WTC to witness history.

And that was just the beginning…

Moon Valley Update to PW Launches on Oct 24

Perfect World will patch our latest update, Moon Valley, this Friday, October 24, 2008. Moon Valley has content mostly for high-level players such as a new map and boss monsters among others.

But that’s not all! The PW team will be slashing off prices to more than 20 items at the PW Item Mall including wedding stuff, Loudspeakers and more. Check out the details of Moon Valley after one more click.

Road to Live Photo Essay

Last Saturday, October 4, we did the Road to Live event at the SM Mall of Asia. The main event was the Grand Finals of RPC 2008 and once the dust settled, it was Bozanian Beast Fighters who came out the winner. Besting 7 others in the Final 8, Boza is now officially Team Philippines and will represent out country in RWC 2008 on Oct 18 and 19 at the LIVE 2008 event (World Trade Center).

Meanwhile, we had lots of fun at the event. Yours truly, together with GM Atma and the other Community Managers did the hosting and raffled off scores of in-game items, jackets, shirts and freebies.

Perfect World. Your World. Your Game.

The Perfect World Philippines marketing team led by Brand Manager Keith Morales, just started a new campaign hinged on a new “battlecry” for the game - Your World. Your Game.

The message is simple yet direct to the point. In Perfect World, it really IS your own world, you can develop and play your character in whatever style you want; PvE, PvP, casual or hardcore, there’s always something for you to do inside the game. To start off the campaign, we’re filming short interviews of PW ‘celebrities’ and players to post to youtube. As the debut to this youtube “commercial”, we present to you the lovely GM Meishen, who’s also the assistant brand manager for Perfect World.

PW Revenge of the Jade Throne

Perfect World Redesigns Official Website

Kudos to the Perfect World team for coming up with a new design for its official website.

We recently launched the new site last week and I am awed by how great the design it. It has elements of flash, the navigation has been fixed with the goal of having information more easy to find by the players. Plus, I was told that the team is integrating fresh, new content into the site such as a new game guide and (soon) a quest guide for all PW players.

Weekly Level Up Updates

Okay, I’m sorry.

I’m sorry for not posting for a couple of days. It’s been a helluva week at work as the team and I were frentically all around trying to iron out the final touches for the Crazy Kart Open Beta last July 31 (Thursday). Good thing everything went without any major hitches.

It was agreed that we would NOT delete the CBT accounts and instead, all CB testers can just link it a Mylevelup and even change your password from there.

But the star of the show is really the debut of the PINOY JEEPNEY. I was one of the first guys to go inside the game and show off the cool jeep. At the moment, you can’t buy the jeep. It’s available for 150,000 gold - this means you’ll have to grind your way for it.

Level Up Rewards

It’s been a long time coming…

Remember all those Rewards points accumulating in your MyLevelUp? Yeah! Now there’s something in store for all you loyal Level Up players - the new Level Up Rewards program.

What is it, you may ask? Well, everytime you top up, you get special points (for every P5.00, you get 2 reward points). If you use the SMS service from the Gamer Sim you get 1 reward point for every service costing P2.50 and 6 reward points if you download MMS content.

You then simply go to the Rewards Program page and choose what in-game goodies you want for your character. If you can “afford” it, it’s yours! Automatically inserted. It’s that simple.
