Back in the old days of tri-media and Jurassic buzz-building, you needed big bucks, a very talented PR manager and lots of luck to make it big in whatever it is you want to attain – be it showbiz, business or politics.

Today, all you need is a little bit of video editing knowledge, original content (or talent) and your good friend, Youtube to make it big. Of course, luck still plays a part in the equation but the power of the Internet makes it possible for normal people to showcase their talents and skills to the entire world.

Let me share with you success stories on youtube and HOW YOU can make the difference and start your own youtube marketing/hype campaign.

Michael Jackson Death Stirs Up Web

I’ve done some “googling”, searching and here’s what the web’s shebang is all about Jacko’s death. Twitter even crashed due to the influx of all messages due to his death. There are even reports about foul play in his death.

Queen of England Gets Gold Nintendo Wii

Queen Elizabeth, monarch of England recently received a specially-commissioned, gold plated Nintendo Wii from game publisher THQ.

The console came with THQ’s Big Family Games.

PS2 Outperforms PS3 Sales

Whoa there, old one! The PS2 bested its younger brother, the PS3 in sales last month. According to a report from Yahoo Games Plugged In, the PS3 found itself beaten out of fifth place by the PS2.

“A 50% leap in Playstation 2 sales accounts for the surprising change, an increase likely prompted by the system’s price cut on April 1, a move which apparently electrified interest in the nine-year old platform.” the report stated.

MMORPG Tournaments

Whenever MMORPG tournaments are mentioned here in the Philippines, chances are one will associate it with the first (and yes, still the biggest) online tournament slash gaming event - LEVEL UP LIVE.

The 2009 LIVE tournament has officially started with various games declaring their regionlas phase and even Wildcard voting for Ragnarok also took off.

The community will be abuzz with preparations for this tournament season. At the end of all the battles, only ONE will rise above the rest. The goal of this post is to share some thoughts on how guilds and organizations prepare and strategize for these tourneys.
