The long wait is over!

Today is the day that we merge the five (5) servers of Rohan into two (2). 

Worlds will collide as the Akhma and Marea servers are joined as one. Named after the god of Rohan, Ohn, the new server promises a richer lore with the storyline from the merged servers intertwining into a whole new adventure!

Torian, Silva and Syrephis will also merge into one new server, named after Rohan’s goddess Edoneh. With three servers merging into one, the possibilities have become endless! When the dust of battle settles – who among these servers’ mightiest warriors will remain on the pinnacle of power?

All the servers and the item mall are down now. We estimate around 10 – 12 hours of maintenance work needs to be done. In the meantime, you can join Rohan’s Facebook Challenge.

It’s that time of year.

In a traditional, annual event, my friends over at MMOSite.com have recently launched their Reader’s Choice Awards for 2009. The Reader’s Choice Awards this year has more categories and games to vote and choose from. As is usual, the event is open globally.

Last weekend, Jan 16 (Sat) 2010, I was with the Rohan and Ragnarok GMs and visited Baguio for some intense online gaming action! Brrrrr… it was super cold.

Thanks to all the teams and the LU players who participated and visited the event! Woot! It was great seeing you all. Also, congrats to all the winners!

Baguio Event (Ragnarok and Rohan). Jan 16, 2010

I thought I’d be a happy guy without stress after the much successful LIVE 2009. Was I wrong. After my 1 week vacation, it’s back to a lot of work as we prepare for a lot of new content updates for our games, not the just the MMORPGs, which I head, but for the casual games too. Everyone in the team is uber-busy and we’re all excited to bring ‘em and announce the updates to the community.

So, in LIVE, we launched the top-secret FPS game, KOS. A few weeks after that (as GM Krieger boldy announced) we also launched GIANTS into the Rohan commercial servers last Nov 16.

This week, race kart drivers went wild as we unveiled the Open Beta of CK 2RBO. Now, we still have something up our sleeves;

• Perfect World players, mark your calendars! Dawn of the Elementals, our newest update will be launched on Nov 23. Check out the details here
• FlyFFers, don’t fret. We also have something in store for you – Version 14: Harmonin. On FlyFF PH commercial servers in Nov 23 estimated

Vengeance is Always an Option!

After a long wait, I’m proud to announce that today, the Rohan Philippines servers and Item Mall are all down in preparation for the Giants patch. GM Krieger already announced this to the Rohan community during the LIVE 2009 weekend.

At last, the wait is over. Stay tuned. Malapit na.

As a way of thanking everyone who attended the RPC 2009 Finals last August 21, we are giving EXP mods for our MMORPGs. This will start from September 9, 2009 and will last around 2 weeks (RF has a month long 5X EXP mod! Woot!)

The Rohan team already announced that the Exchange Market  feature (EM to veteran Rohan players) will be coming out soon for Rohan PH.

This is exciting news! This means that Rohan players can “seal” and offer their characters and items for sale or trade in safe environment. Here are some basic information that all of you should know. Feel free to pass the word to your fellow Rohan players or guildmates, k?

ROHAN EXCHANGE MARKET BASIC INFORMATION

• The Exchange Market is the place where you can buy or sell items from other players for Rohan Points (RPs).
• Items that you find, purchase, or forge/refine in-game can be bought and sold here.
• Even whole characters can be traded.
• This allows players buy uncommon, ancient, unique, or just plain ordinary items that they need for RPs. This will also allow players who don’t wish to purchase RP to be able to sell items that they have acquired in-game to other players wishing to purchase them.
• And, since the Exchange Market is part of the game, transactions will be instant and safe.
• When you buy an item from another player, it will instantly appear in your inventory in-game.
• While awarded bonus points are not available for use in the Exchange Market, they may be only used in the Item Mall

Transaction Fee

• A 10% transaction fee will be deducted from the total price of all sales through the Exchange Market.
• The transaction fee will only be deducted from the seller, not the buyer.
• Fees are deducted after sale, so any unsold items will not incur a transaction fee.

It’s cold here in Baguio! Just a quick post and reminder to all Rohan players: There will be another FORGE-REFINE event tomorrow, June 14, 2009 from 4pm to 7pm. It’s your once in a lifetime chance to get more chances of success during your over-ups!

The first stop of Rohan’s Blood Wars 2009, the official tournament for this year’s LIVE tournament season, kicked off at Pampanga.

In the first Regional leg, Team Immodium took home the championship, besting a total of 7 teams. What’s really interesting is that GM Krieiger incorporated Vengeance as a tournament mechanic, this means that losers from the elimination matches can still seek vengeance on those who beat them. Of course, the previous winners have a “twice-to-beat” advantage.

Meanwhile, here are excerpts from GM Krieger’s post event report:

The stage was set for the very first Blood War Regionals championship match between XGS and IMMOdium. The teams, both new faces in the online gaming tournament scene arrived at the finals, battered, bruised but ultimately stronger and more resilient at the end. The finals was a best of 3 match up. It was approximately 1:30AM and both teams battled it out like never before. Both scored wins and at the final and deciding round, the team of IMMOdium won.

To quote the team captain of the IMMOdium team Gariath: “Walang mamamatay sa grupo ko! Wala!” . Truer words had never been spoken and thus, Team IMMOdium won the very first Rohan Blood Wars regional champion.
