It’s been a while since I last did some blog reviews.
Here’s something refreshing and recommended - geekzkrieg.com, “the ultimate web magazine for geeks and dorks”.
Sounds like my kinda stuff. The guys at geekzkrieg got their act together with a clean layout and varied content. I’m sure that the site/blog will go places. I really liked how simple it is to find information. Although, their widget and plugins part needs some work.

Wow! Time really flies fast… if you’re having fun (and stressed out too *wink*). But it was all worth it, mind you.
June was a busy month. Again. What else is new?
For starters, we announced a new game, Crazy Kart and then migrated the Level Up website to the Wordpress platform. This move was met with positive feedback and comments. Our sincerest gratitude. I’m glad that you liked it. On the downside, RF Online had to do a major economy fix so that we can fix a serious game breach - duping.
Oh well… we have our ups and our downs. But the thought that there are still thousands upon thousands of loyal Level Up players (like you) - keeps our blood running…. I kid thee not when I say that we’re all working hard to make your gaming experience even better.
In case you missed some of the stuff here at my blog, I’ve compiled the best posts of June 2008 for your convenience.
And that’s just a click away, sir…(or madam)

A lot of people have been asking me for Crazy Kart CBT accounts.
And I’m more than willing to oblige.
Alrighty, girls and boys, this is your chance to get your FREE Crazy Kart CBT account… instantly.
All you have to do is comment below, write down your email address, and tell me why I should give you TWO (2) CBT accounts. And also, why you think Crazy Kart is such a cool game. There’s (almost) an unlimited number of CBT accounts, so the more comments the better. We will email you the CBT account username and passwords. But you can only play Crazy Kart if you download the installer at
http://crazykart.levelupgames.ph/download/CKCBT.exe
Why am I giving 2 accounts per person? Of course, so you can share the other with a friend… got it?
Let ‘em rip!

Emergency posts, gents!
As I write this, the winds howl like rabid wolves outside. In a latest update, news on the Internet stated that “Metro Manila and neighboring provinces are now under public storm warning Signal Number 3 as typhoon Frank (international codename Fengshen) again changed course and is now barreling its way towards southern Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services (PAGASA) said Saturday evening.”
The electricity here has been down for at least 3 times. Better get your flashlights ready, take off the plugs from your PCs, TVs and air conditioning. Brace yourselves. This is going be bad.

Last Sunday, June 15, I was at the SM Megamall to do both work and leisure at the 7th Philippine Toycon 2008 event.
I was there to support the Level Up booth and also to do a soft-launch and announce the CBT for Crazy Kart, our newest online casual racing game.
Every year, the crowd continues to grow bigger and bigger - proof that toy collecting, gaming and everything “otaku” is growing at a phenomenal rate. Of course, one of the highlights of the show was Alodia Gosiengfiao, the country’s hottest cosplay babe (And yes, I did get to talk to her despite her toxic sched). I also helped the Toycon organizers by hosting the Gaming Girls competition, which was sort of a tribute to Dead Fantasy: a cool chick-slugfest that you must see. The winner, of course, was Rinoa (both in the video and in the contest).

Check out some of the toys and more photos after the jump.

It’s over! At the end of the battle, “There Can Be Only One”. Which was exactly the theme of this year’s NBA Finals.
And yes, I’m a Celtics fan. Wohoo! Kevin Garnet and Ray Allen nailed the coffin on Kobe and the LA Lakers by winning Game 6 of this classic NBA rivalry. Final scores were 131-92, one of the most lopsided wins in NBA Finals history. This is Boston’s first championship since 1986 and their 17th championship as a franchise.
KG and Ray Allen each scored 26 points to lead their team to victory. Kobe and the Lakers could only watch in amazement as the Celtics pulled away for good.

Meanwhile, Paul Pierce was named Finals MVP.

Hey peeps!
This image of a “Funky Monkey”(below) started appearing in Level Up games’ websites. Were we hacked? Is it a case of something gone bananas? Hmmmm….

I’m intrigued myself. Are you? Go to the levelupgames.ph website and then click this Funky Monkey to find out.
It’s a surprise!

Great news!
Freestyle Philippines gets a new website and a makeover using the Wordpress platform. Yep, that means that the site is a blog now with the cool functionalities and features of ermm… blogs.
Thanks to great efforts of our Editor-in-Chief, Mr. Kevin Codamon, FS BM Hector Sagrado and Community Manager Toti Alido, the site is now up and running after several weeks of tuning and tweaking. Props to all of you for another splendid job!

Hey peeps!
I know it’s been a while since the last blog contest.
Here’s something new… it’s the gmtristan dot com Community Q&A blog contest. The rules are simple. Just comment below and ask a question related to ANY Level Up game (RF Online, Ragnarok, Perfect World, FlyFF or Freestyle). At the end of the contest period, I’m going to pick five (5) winners. Your questions will be answered by game GMs, marketing guys or tech dudes depending on the nature of your concern. The Level Up guys that will answer your Qs will be doing this via video and will be posted to our youtube channel and here too (and yes, your real name and in-game name will be mentioned if you want. Woot!).
I’m going to give the 5 winners P100 Level Up Top-Up card each (I’ll just email the PINs so that you can get to use it instantly).
Anyways, complete mechanics after the jump.
