The web is abuzz with rumors, spoilers, possible casting and what-have-you for the Avengers movie.

Latest Avengers Movie Updates

Here’s the skinny;

• Samuel L. Jackson has just confirmed that there’s going going to be a S.H.I.E.L.D movie right after the Avengers movie
• IMDB already has an official page with a 2012 release date
• Thor, which is an Avenger may be played by Chris Hemsworth (Captain Kirk in Star Trek 2009)
• The Cast of heroes here as confirmed by Kevin Feige. He says “its three people, four including Hulk , five including Nick Fury – who you have seen before in other movies, coming together for the very first time”
• Comic Book Movie speculates on Iron Man’s role in the movie. Will Rhodes be there instead of Stark?
• A website, http://avengersnews.com/ has been developed to keep track of updates similar to the above. You might want to check that out too
