In Progress: Star Wars AT AT Walker Model Kit

Photobucket

I had a great deal of fun (and practice) making the smaller AT-ST walker. This one, the AT-AT is bigger at around 8 inches tall. I’ll be able to apply the things I learned from making the AT-ST into this kit. Also, if I have the time, I might build a diorama (snow-based, of course) for this baby.

This weekend, I started the painting process. If you missed the first part (the assembly) you can click here…

New Level Up MMORPG for 2010

Oye! We’re launching a NEW MMO GAME SOON!

Here’s the tease… Can you guess what it is?

Foodie: Ying Ying at Binondo

It’s a long weekend. No work today (Yay!) due to the end of the Muslim Ramadan holiday.

What better way to spend a holiday than a foodie trip with the wife and friends? Yes?

We got up relatively early this morning and started our day with a photo-walk at the historic Fort Santiago at Intramuros. After much walking, it’s time to satiate our hunger. Off we went to Binondo where the famous Ying-Ying restaurant awaited us with delicious meals…

Plants Vs Zombies Nintendo DS Version

With the upcoming version for the Xbox Live, there’s no stopping the Plants Vs Zombies craze.

1Up just teased that a Nintendo DS version is already in the works. Popcap has already announced this development. “The port will include all of the expected features (Adventure, Survival, and Puzzle modes, plus mini-games) as well as “new and exclusive game content,” though the specifics aren’t mentioned.” wrote 1Up.

Finally Broke 9K Fans at Facebook

After months of hard work and fun, I finally broke the 9K fan mark at my Facebook Page.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all the fans, readers and daily visitors. Thanks for the support and for being regulars and active at the blog and at the Fanpage. The community is having fun with the regular TAY sessions.

Finally, thanks to my active mods too. I couldn’t have done it without your help. 10K seems just around the corner. If you’re still not a fan, be one now

Finished: AT-ST

Photobucket

Finally finished last weekend the Star Wars AT-ST kit from ERTL-MPC. This kit is among the sci-fi haul I got a couple of months ago.

It took just 2 weekends to assemble and paint. I even finished the small base (of which I have a tutorial HERE and HERE).

More photos of the finished kit after the break…

Talk Among Yourselves At The Facebook Page

Just to get things brewing at the gmtristan.com Facebook page, I started the Talk Among Yourselves sessions, better known as T.A.Y. It’s simple. I post a topic and people can just TAY by leaving a comment or two.

So far, the insights and exchanges have been good (and fun). Some of the topics included Jejemons, Chessy pick-up lines and more.

It really is interesting to see the many facets of ideas and great to interact with the growing community (as I write this, we’re now close to 9K fans). Thanks to everyone who “liked” the page and continue to be active. Of course, helping me out are my official mods… life is so much simpler with these guys. My million thanks goes out to them as well.

Magic Bullet

Am not usually a sucker for As-Seen-On-TV gadgets and products. Well… my mom is another story.

But let’s pause from the usual, girls, games, gadgets and toys and watch a nice TV-product I spotted over youtube.

I want one!!!!!

Meanwhile, check out the new Gundam Facebook page I created recently. Thanks!

The Ultimate FPS Surround Experience

I thought that big-ass monitors that almost surround the player was the best 3D FPS experience. Well… I’m about to be proven wrong. The gun (above) was launched at the recent Quake Con by a company called Macrovision.

Touted as the Tuatara, it has all the controls on the gun and it will project the game on any wall. Move the gun up and you can see the sky, move it left and… you get what I mean.

Watch the video… it’s better than my words! Peace!
