Merry Christmas, readers!
Here’s the debut blog post entry for my new “Photography” category. Am not an expert, honestly. Just a noob hobbyist trying to share what I discover from friends and the web. For starters, here’s an interesting hack/trick as taught to me by good friend and officemate, Mark Minoza. Thanks, buddy! – The cheap Macro-without-the-macro-lens trick!
One of the reasons why I got started in photography (and one of the reasons for the purchase of the new DSLR) is my fascination and love-affair with toys and toy photography. If ever there’s a specialty that I’d want to get into, it would be that. At any rate, if you want to get up-close-and-personal with toys (or flowers and insects, for that matter), you’d need to invest in a good macro lens. Them lenses don’t come cheap. For example, for my Canon 500D, the Canon 100mm f/2.8 macro lens will set you off around P50,000.00 (around $1,000).
Near/same results can be had for just around P500! Curious? Hit jump now…
