Happy New Year - From gmtristan.com

December 31, 2007 · Filed Under Blogging, Musings, Videos · 3 Comments

I’ve scheduled this post to be automatically posted at 11:59PM tonight. This is my last post for the year.

And what a year it was! Thanks to all those who supported gmtristan.com in 2007. I had some ups and downs during my career and even while blogging. But the blog has helped me keep sane through all the months of hard work and stress. It’s an outlet to release some creativity in me and to help me share something I love with those with the same passion. I’m sure the Waukster shares the same sentiment. Hapy New Year, Carlo!
So, let’s raise our glasses for the coming New Year and bid adieu 2007! Here’s to more Girls, Games and Gadgets and more of gmtristan.com in 2008!

And since I can’t have real fireworks on the site, let’s make some noise with a video…

That, after the jump…

Conan’s Topless Babes

December 31, 2007 · Filed Under Gaming, Girls, Videos · 7 Comments

To close out the year, let’s examine a game that will make Kratos and God of War make a run for their money - THQ’s Conan for the Xbox 360.

In this feature, we will look at the Cimmerian warrior’s fine babes in all their juggling, topless beauty. Note that Mr. Conan, true brainless barbarian that he is, couldn’t care less and is apathetic to the sexy vixens that he rescues. And yeah, there are indeed repetitions in the animations, but hey! A topless babe is a a topless babe!

The video after one more click, sir.

Make Money Online with Shopping Carts

December 30, 2007 · Filed Under Blogging, Infotech, Marketing · Comment

There are a thousand ways to make money online. If you have a current business or plan to set-up shop in the near future, here are some tips on how to get started.

The first thing that you have to do is to have a very competent and reasonably priced product. What you’re selling online should be compelling enough for a LOT of people to buy. There are million things to sell. Once you’ve figured out what to sell then you have to consider your options on how to branch out and then sell these things online.

Of course, once you have the products, then you have to build your website. If you don’t have the technical know-how, you either do research on the web or hire either a friend or a professional to get you started. Here’s another tip: Make that URL easy to remember and then get a simple, hassle free solution to sell your products online.

One of the best in the business is Ashop commerce. Ashop offers a ONE-STOP ecommerce solution and shopping cart software.

Check out what they can do for you after the jump.

[ gadgets ] Toshiba Regza 37″

December 30, 2007 · Filed Under Gadgets, Musings · 3 Comments

I’m in the market for a new TV set. And just yesterday, I got my new Toshiba Regza 37″ LCD TV. Sweet! It’s my Christmas gift to my family. When it finally came to the decision, it was a Japan vs. Korea thing (see below).

I was supposed to get the Samsung 37″ for P75,000.00 (everyone’s getting that) but when I did comparisons, I figured the Regza was the best buy since it supported full HD 1080P (the Samsung at the same size only had 1080i). This means that this baby’s configured for the future when Blu-Ray or HD DVDs become more affordable.

Sparklers Are Not Just For Kids

December 30, 2007 · Filed Under Musings, Uncategorized · 3 Comments

New Year is just a couple of days away. I’m currently writing a year-ender special on the MMORPG industry in the Philippines. More specifically, our games, of course. I’ll be posting that soon.

Meanwhile, here’s something I stumbled off the web.

The trick here is to have a 5 second delay on a digital camera, get a few friends, give them sparklers and have fun.

Check out the photos below. Warning: Rated R

Boy Donates Wii to Help Poor

December 29, 2007 · Filed Under Gaming, General, Musings · 2 Comments

It always warms my heart to hear tales about good Samaritans.

And that’s exactly what an 11-year-old boy in the U.S. of A. did.

Tyler Strasser hosted a toy drive recently, where everyone who donated got a raffle ticket to compete in a Nintendo Wii bowling competition. The winner will get to take home the Wii.

The toy drive was organized to help the needy. Little Tyler has been collecting stuff and giving them to those in need since he was three.

Hear ye! Hear ye! Citizens of Roika!

The world of Fly For Fun (FlyFF) is calling all heroes to gather round.

There’s a race… a leveling race to level 120! Not many FlyFFers have reached the zenith of their careers yet. I think less than a dozen by last count. GM Atma and the lovely GM Kumiko have cooked up a treat for all of you.

The first 100 players to reach level 120 will get a FlyFF Premium Jacket (iRL) and a rare/special in-game item. The event will end on February 6, 2008. So get your “addict modes” up and start leveling now!

[ video ] DOA Extreme 2 Sexy Babe Marketing

December 28, 2007 · Filed Under Gaming, General, Marketing, Musings, Videos · 7 Comments

Alright, here’s an obvious question: How do you promote a game such as DOA where 90% of your target market are men with a knack for anything sexy?

Simple. Go out and gather some sexy babes with boobs mimicking DOA, film them, have them pose with the Xbox controller and some cute smiles… a winning marketing formula. Perhaps?

That’s what the peeps at Japan did when they released this video.

They already held a bikini contest for DOA. What will they think of next? The video after the jump…

[ video ] Hottest Gaming Girls of 2007

December 27, 2007 · Filed Under Gamer Babe, Gaming, Girls · 1 Comment

No, not virtual babes… I already showed you that.

But these are REAL (and supposedly pro) gamer girls and are featured at gametrailers.com.

And speaking Gamer Babes, I plan to have a voting contest soon to determine who’s the hottest and the best gmtristan.com gamer babe for 2007. Stick around for that. If you’re one of my gamer babes, get ready to campaign for votes.

And now, the video for your viewing pleasure.

Enjoy…
